Quality is the foundation of Banner's tradition of excellence. At Banner, we utilize a process approach to perform, verfiy analyze Quality. Throughout the product realiztion process, Banner's real time, networked SPC system determines and records inspections verifying product integrity during first piece, in-process, and final audit.
Our Receiving department conducts inspection of incoming materials using a mobile spectrometer which verifies the raw material chemistry of our steel prior to release for production.
Banner has a modern Quality Assurance Lab that performs a variety of inspection and calibration activities using a CMM, Optical Comparator, and various other electronic devices. Banner also uses a harsh environment CMM located on the production floor and a mobile FaroArm located in our Tooling department to qualify tool and dies after maintenance and aid in reverse-engineering activities.
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methods are our standard process for launching new or changed programs to ensure that the Customer requirements are met prior to mass production. Initial production parts are submitted to our Customer using the latest Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Our APQP process makes use of advanced techniques to assure Quality is built into the process; such as Error Proofing (Poke-A-Yoke), Process Failure Mode Analysis (PFMEA), Process Capability Analysis, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R), Process Control Plans, and Standarized Work Instructions.
Banner has maintained a registered Quality Management System since March, 2000. We are currently registered to ISO 9000:2000 and AS 9100 by Eagle Registrations.
Our key activities are managed using the Process Approach including, Sales, Estimating, Procurement, Personnel Competency, Equipment Maintenance, Tool and Die, and Shipping.
